    all pets (except the gecko...who is a psycho) have guessed that this means a very uncomfortable shock. My co-workers also seem alert to the danger.

    Geckos look like they are perpetually being shocked. So the pshyco bit doesn't surprise me. But I laughed at the thought of your psycho gecko getting a quick zap.
